HISTORY The FDGP was developed as a result of survey of the University faculty who expressed a desire to develop their scholarly work. The first Faculty Conference on Scholarly Writing was held on November 15-16, 2011. Immediately following the conference, the University Administration made a tangible commitment to continue to encourage and incentivized the scholarly work of the faculty and the FDGP was funded. In its inaugural year, nine grants were awarded for a total of $4000, culminating with the first annual 2012 Faculty Research Symposium at the Committee of 100, McKee B&T Building on April 23, 2013.
The FDGP is currently in its seventh year and has awarded just under 50 grants in its history.
