Esther Smith is the Office Manager and an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Communication at Oakwood University. She holds an M.A. in Communication from Andrews University and a B.A. in Print Journalism from Oakwood University. Her newfound passion for teaching is expanding through her adjunct professorship. In addition to her position at Oakwood, Ms. Smith is a digital content creator and writer. She is the founder of Grace Guided, a faith-based social media brand and community that leads individuals to a deeper understanding of God’s grace in their lives. She has written several published articles for magazines such as Southern Tidings, Carolina Action, Envision, and others. She is currently authoring her first book, a work of poetry that narrates the accounts of women in the Bible from the female perspective.
When she is not working, Ms. Smith enjoys spending time with family and friends, discovering new vegan restaurants, painting, and exploring Huntsville. Her love for storytelling takes form in her writing and creativity. It is her desire to motivate and spiritually empower women in their relationship with God through her own life experiences. One of Ms. Smith’s favorite verses in the Bible is from Isaiah 30:18, King James Version — “And therefore will the LORD wait, that He may be gracious unto you, and therefore will He be exalted, that He may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for Him.”
