Scholarship Guidelines
RENEWAL CRITERIA FOR UNDERGRADUATE NEW STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS
Tier 1 / The National Merit / GED 1 & 2 Scholarship Criteria:
- The scholarships noted above are renewed for a second year with a 2.5 GPA, for a third year with a 2.75 GPA, and for a fourth year with a 3.0 GPA. Students are also required to maintain full-time status each semester [To graduate in four years, a student should average 15 credit hours per semester. Taking fewer than 15 credit hours will extend the time to graduation by as much as a year, but scholarships will not extend beyond four years. Taking 15 credit hours per semester versus 12 credit hours (both are full-time) per semester could save you and your family $30,000 by avoiding a fifth year]
- Academic scholarships are limited to a maximum of four (4) consecutive academic years for all bachelor’s degrees. Engineering students completing the dual degree program are limited to a maximum of three (3) consecutive academic years.
Tier 2 / GED 3 & 4 Scholarship Criteria:
- To renew the scholarships mentioned above a student is required to maintain full-time status each semester and a 2.0 GPA [To graduate in four years, a student should average 15 credit hours per semester. Taking fewer than 15 credit hours will extend time to graduation by as much as a year but scholarships will not extend beyond four years.
